Nancy and Bom wedding at The Crane Estate
Nancy and I first met for a consultation on a very cold windy day in Harvard Square. She actually lives in New York and travels to Boston in the weekends to see her husband to be. Throughout the planning process, we went through many design ideas before deciding on the perfect style for her wedding. It was so much fun coming up with different design styles to fit her changing themes. We went from apple inspired arrangements, to Asian hanging lanterns and then finalizing with a romantic rustic garden theme. With her wedding venue being held at The Crane Estates, this fits her theme perfectly! The Crane Estate is an enchanting castle with beautiful rustic charms. Enjoy these beautiful wedding photos full of traditions and charms captured by Eric Laurits.
The couple started out their day with a traditional Korean ceremony.
Nancy's bouquet was a garden inspired bouquet with a modern touch. This bouquet has white hyrangeas, picasso calla lilies, purple calla lilies, green cymbidiums, star of bethlehems, green & purple celosias and green ferns.
Guests were greeted to a wishing tree, which they could write well wishes to the couple and hang them on the wishing tree. The hanging votives illuminated throughout the night creating a romantic illumination for guests that wants to get some fresh air while enjoying a romantic setting.
Wishing Tree: Dendrobium orchids, roses, hanging amaranthus, mosses, accented with hanging votive candles and crystals. .
The hanging votives design were carried towards the centerpieces to give it an additional ambiance lighting for the reception area.
Aww....the proud father!
A special someone couldn't attend the party but was not forgotten :)
She can really boogie down! I found her dancing away that night but looked stunning at the same time.
I especially love this last photo Eric took. A classic black and white which captured the end of their day but the begining of their new future. Nancy and Bom, thank you for letting me and my team be a part of your special day. We wish you forever happiness on your new venture as husband and wife :)
This is the design we did for Nancy's centerpieces. Her color scheme is Purple, Gold, White, Pink and Green. I used Manzanita branches for the centerpieces but you can substitute it with any woody branches available that could hold the weight for the hanging votives and wired flowers. Some other beautiful details you can add to this centerpieces are hanging crystals or flower garlands with the crystal attached to the flower garlands ends. Another fun idea is to have the guests at each table write well wishes and hang them on the centerpieces but you would have to change the real tea lights to LED lights instead. There are no limits to what you could do to these centerpieces, make it personal by adding fun materials that means something to the both of you. For example...things that you both loves..candies, paper cranes, things that you collected on your travels. The only thing that you really need to keep in mind is the color scheme and the theme that you are going for.Have fun designing your own centerpieces and feel free to let me know how it turns out. I love to see what you come up with :)
